As I paint in the silence of my studio, I listen for and attend to sounds that connect to the internal and external energy of these times. Using dots, scribbles, and line combinations, I orchestrate the parts into their whole. In this painting, I choose to use blue, the color of the 5th Chakra. When in balance, clarity and authenticity of words are possible. Through the din of this jarring time in our Nation’s history, voices of social justice insist and rise up. My art embodies the tensions of opposing viewpoints so capable of creating bridges of kindness, light, and change.
