The earth is covered by water The virus covers the earth It seemed to me that- if there were any parallels to the virus perhaps the ocean was apt Turbulent on it’s surface Mysterious in it’s depth Smothering yet fostering life Were we meant to return there having been fostered there? And should we return how can we survive? Is it our destiny to perpetually adapt Change has been the mantra of our species Darwin’s theories chart the course When we finally surface to the new normal what will it be? More importantly who will we be?
